Musician writes about Abraham

When shooting around the monument I met Peter Lerman and his friend Cindy. He’s a local Virgina musician that was putting together a video for his latest song “Abraham.” He picked the right place to do the video. At first they tried to scoot out of camera view and I asked them to “stay in the picture, I’d love to get some clicks of you.”

If you want to check out the song he’s on Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/peterlerman

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your photo blog. I’ve been getting the RSS feed for about six months and I am always thrilled to see when you’ve added your latest post. I don’t even remember how I stumbled on it, but I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and started getting back into photography this year after a 10 year hiatus. I am especially fired up about your Australia pics as I just found out last week that I’m going to Melbourne for five weeks. Any tips on visiting the country?

    Keep up the great work!

Aaron, you must try the Australian dessert called Pavlova, named after the Russian Ballerina. It is wonderful. Also, make very, very sure that you have a 220-110v converter and adapter for using your 110v electric items, in their plug sockets. The adapter simply turns your plug with blades into a plug with posts. Also, check you camera’s battery charger, it may be rated for 220v-110v, my Nikon charger was and didn’t need a converter but did need the adapter. Be prepared for higher prices than US prices. Good Luck, let me know when you post some pics.ReplyCancel

I’m a year behind but thanks for the tips. I had more than my fair share of pavlova and thankfully had the right converters. An amazing trip!
